Prabowo Inaugurated Lieutenant General Tandyo Budi Revita as Deputy Commander of the Army

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, BANDUNG - President Prabowo Subianto officially inaugurated the Deputy Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Tandyo Budi Revita during the ceremony of the title of operational forces and the award of military honors at Pusdiklatpassus, Batujajar, West Bandung Regency, Sunday (10/8/2025). Prabowo also inducted the commander-in-chief of Kopassus, the commander-in-chief of Kopasgat, and the commander-in-chief of Kormar.

The president also inaugurated the formation of six new Kodams, the Development Territorial Infantry Brigade, the Development Territorial Infantry Battalion, the Marine Infantry Battalion and the Kopasgat Commando Battalion. Kodairal, Pangkodau, and Pangkoopsau.

In his speech, the president revealed right now the middle world is in uncertainty and war is happening everywhere. However, Indonesia does not take sides with any bloc and attaches importance to having a very strong defense.

“That is why today I have appointed six new commander-in-chief, twenty new brigade commanders, and one hundred territorial development battalions,” he said in remarks.

He asked the commander-in-chief and brigade commander who had been sworn in to lead from the front. In addition, it is always in a dangerous and critical place.

“The commander of the army, the commander of the army forces, the commander of the Brigade troops, the leader of the battalion, leads from the front, leads in the midst of the troops, is always in the most dangerous place is always in the most critical place, there is no commander of the troops leading from the rear,” he said.

He asked the leader to guard the men or troops. Prabowo called for troops to be trained hard but not with cruelty.

“And always remember, we are soldiers of the people, we are born of the people, we are the children of the people, we serve the people, we guard the people, and we are ready to die for our people. That's the military,” he said.
