REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Minister Maruarar Sirait has met Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung at City Hall to discuss housing programs, slum improvement, and the People's Business Credit (KUR) program, set for its launch in Jakarta.
Pramono stated that the meeting concluded with an agreement to establish a team tasked with formulating a collaborative program between the Jakarta provincial government and the Ministry of Housing. The team will have two months to develop concrete solutions for the plan.
"He offered various programs that benefit Jakarta, including housing, slum improvement, TOD (Transit-Oriented Development), interest subsidies, subsidized housing, and so on," Anung stated at the Jakarta City Hall on Friday.
During the same event, Minister Sirait outlined several ongoing collaborations, such as improvements to the fishing area in Muara Angke, North Jakarta; relocation of residents living under bridges into apartments; maintaining the Pasar Rumput flats in South Jakarta; and renovating the Athletes' Village.
In addition, there are stimulus and sanitation assistance programs funded by the state budget for Jakarta in 2025. He also announced plans to promote the subsidized housing program, which offers various incentives, including exemption from Land and Building Acquisition Tax (BPHTB), free Value Added Tax (VAT), and waived Building Construction Approval (PBG) fees.
