Ways To Enjoy The Summer When Keeping Close To Home

Summer is here and we have more Corona Virus  cases going up every day. It definitely not going to be a normal summer. How do we make it fun for our family when we still need to stay close to home?  Vacations may be canceled, but no one said you couldn’t do a staycation!

Let me share some fun activities that the whole family will enjoy.

Have every family make a 5-item bucket list. See how many you can achieve over the summer. 

Help your teen find a virtual volunteer opportunity. here

Join the sidewalk chalk trend. Write inspirational messages for people to find on their daily walks.

 

Put together a Water Day in the backyard. Gather slip ‘n slides, water balloons, spray bottles, buckets and sponges and wading pools. 

Have a Backyard Campout. You can  roast marshmallows, play board games and just spend time being lazy in the tent.

Make and Fly Kites with the family.

Celebrate Christmas in July. Dress in ugly Christmas sweaters, watch some holiday movies on the Hallmark Channel,  bake some cookies and make some memories.

Take your family on a hike where there will not be many people. Remember to stay 6 feet away from other people.

Learn how to make some Ice Cream in a can.
