When we lived at our farm we carved Many Pumpkins and always cooked in a Pumpkin for Halloween Dinner.
There is Something so Comforting About The Taste Of Pumpkin In The Fall.
Let me tell you some things I learned about Pumpkin……
The world’s largest pumpkin measures 15 feet around, is over four feet tall and, according to the New York Times. It is larger than the pumpkin shown in this image, which weighs in at 1622 pounds.
The largest Pumpkin Pie ever made was over five feet in diameter and weighed over 350 pounds. It used 80 pounds of cooked pumpkin, 36 pounds of sugar, 12 dozen eggs and took six hours to bake.
Pumpkins are Gluten Free.
A Pumpkin Is Not a Jack O’Lantern, Until It Is Carved.
Slow-Cooker Pumpkin Cake via Willow Bird Baking….Throw three ingredients in the slow cooker, top with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream.
